Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery
Ascension Providence offers robotic and laparoscopic surgery for several gynecologic problems.
Robotic technology at Ascension Providence allows patients that would have their surgeries normally performed via open abdominal incisions to have the same surgeries performed as outpatient procedures or as overnight observation patients. You are often able to return to work within a few weeks and have significantly less discomfort than both abdominal surgery and laparoscopic procedures. Less discomfort minimizes the amount of pain medication needed following surgery.
In addition to robotic surgeries, Ascension Providence offers the full array of laparoscopic options for gynecologic surgery. Our doctors are excellent laparoscopic surgeons and can assist you in making an informed, appropriate decision on surgical management for several gynecologic problems. Our goal is always to successfully treat patients with a minimum impact to daily routines, family and work schedules.
